Michael Moncus

Michael Dwayne Moncus, 73, passed away Tues. Feb. 26, 2019 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS handled arrangements.

Mr. Moncus was born in Albany, GA and was currently a resident of Pearl, MS. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 26 years of service. During his time with the Air Force he served in Vietnam for two tours. Mr. Moncus was a member of the VFW and the Moose Club. He also enjoyed NASCAR, going fishing and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan.

Mr. Moncus is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anne Moncus; daughters, Catherine Hawes, Kim Carter (David) and Randi Burson (Craige); sons, Adrian Barrell (Julia), Matthew Moncus (Dawn), and Scott Moncus and his grandchildren, Ray Sheeler Jr., Brady Carter, Mandy Burson, Steven Burson, Jessica Barrell, Chad Sheeler, Savanna Carter, Alison Burson and Carsyn Westmorland. Mr. Moncus is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Thelma Moncus.
