Michael James Stemen, 69, of Brandon, MS, went to be with our Lord Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS with his loving wife and children by his side. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Monday, February 25, 2013 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon, MS with burial in Oakdale Cemetery.
Michael was the son of the late James and Esther Stemen of Van Wert, Ohio and was raised by the late Harold and Norma Wyandt of West Liberty, Ohio. He was born August 5, 1943. He loved fishing, working with wood, genealogy, reading and teaching Bible studies.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie; sons, Mick and wife Rachel of Pensacola, FL, and Matt of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Geoff, Meredith, Cameron, and Audrey Stemen of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Linda Summersett of Van Wert, OH, Marjorie (Jim) Wollet of Van Wert, OH, Doretha (Kevin) Minor of Clarksville, TN; and brothers, Gordon Wyandt of West Liberty, OH and John Stemen of Clarksville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
