Michael David Toney, age 23, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010 due to an accident. Visitation was held 5-8pm Tuesday, August 24th at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services were held 2pm Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from the Eastside Baptist Church in Pelahatchie with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Glenn Curtis officiated the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
David was born in Flowood, MS on July 7, 1987 and was a lifelong resident of Pelahatchie. He attended Pelahatchie High School and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pelahatchie. David was a friendly outgoing person who loved spending time with his family, fiancée and friends. He was employed by State Street Group of Jackson.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Preceded in death by his great grandparents, Plummer and Lou Alice Till, Sylvester and Daisy Toney, Robert Ervin and Zelma Moore and Steve and Lula Tullos; uncles, Johnny and Howard Till; aunts, Donna Faye and Jeannette Till.
He leaves to grieve his passing, his father, Mike Toney (Trish) of Pelahatchie, mother, Lisa Carpenter (Earl) of Sturgis; grandparents, Jimmy and Sandra Toney of Pelahatchie, Tom Tullos of Slidell, LA and Reba Tullos of Brandon; fiancée, Kayti Nunnery and unborn son, Michael David Toney, Jr. of Florence; brothers, James and Alan Toney of Pelahatchie, Keith Hamilton of Yazoo City and Chris Hamilton of Tupelo, many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers were Dustin Carlisle, Shannon Gilmore, Kris Tutor, Russell Welch, Jason Tullos, Randy Gilmore and John Paul Gober. Honorary pallbearers were Aubrey Nunnery, Jr. and Mike Covey.
