Michael Ray Lantrip

Michael Ray Lantrip, 64, a resident of Morton Care Center and formerly of Pelahatchie, passed away Friday, June 24, 2021 in Morton. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Saturday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Services are Sunday at 2 pm at the funeral home with burial in Line Creek Cemetery. Rev. Beth Feisel will officiate.

Mike was a lifelong resident of Pelahatchie and a member Pelahatchie United Methodist Church. He was a diesel mechanic for many years and was an avid sportsman, loving to hunt and fish. Mike was a very compassionate person, always willing to help anyone in need.

Survivors include his son, James Russell Lantrip; brothers, Glen Lantrip (Pam) of Pearl and Barry Lantrip (Donna) of Nevada. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Red and Loraine Lantrip.
