Mildred Corkern

Mildred B. Corkern, 91, a resident of Florence, MS died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Briar Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation in Florence, MS. A memorial service will be held at 11am Sat. Aug. 22, 2015 at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held at 10:30am Sat. prior to the services at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Corkern was a native of Bogalusa, LA. She was the daughter of Alvin and Leanous Crowe Breland. She was married to Carl W. Corkern. Mrs. Corkern was a member of the Lakeshore Methodist Church. She served many years as a Registered Nurse working many of those years for Dr. Eugene Wood. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Corkern was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Leanous Crowe Breland; and her husband, Carl W. Corkern.
Mrs. Corkern is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Ann Lasseter, Susie Shore and her husband Fred and Kay Motheral and her husband Hal; four grandchildren, Michael Lasseter, Jr., Robin Motheral, Amanda Covault and John Shore; four great grandchildren, Sean Lasseter, Mason Lasseter, Christian Covault and Cate Covault.
