Mildred Dozier Deason, 77, passed away Thurs. Oct. 15, 2015 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Sun. Oct. 18, 2015 from 2pm-5pm and on Mon. Oct. 19, 2015 from 1pm-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm Mon. Oct. 19, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
Mrs. Deason was born in Flora, MS and has been a longtime resident of Rankin County. She was a member of the Siwell Road Church of Christ in Jackson, MS. Mrs. Deason had tons of friends and was a very loving family woman.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward “Bill” Deason; three children, James Deason (Rebecca), Tommy Deason (Anita), and Cheryl Deason; four grandchildren, Ryan Deason, Rusty Deason, Tyler Deason, Brandon Deason and two great grandchildren, Balen Deason and Liam Deason. Mrs. Deason is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Willie Dozier; three sisters, Doris Posey, Christine Gray, Tate Dozier and two brothers, Clifton Dozier and Bobby Dozier.
