Mildred Graham

Mrs. Mildred J White was born in the Red Top community of Scott County on St. Patrick’s Day, 1929. She passed away one week shy of Thanksgiving Day, 2020, under the care of the staff of the Neshoba County Nursing Home at the age of 91.

Widower of Decu Graham (2005), she was a lifetime resident of this area and a Christian by testimony of her faith, affiliated with the Presbyterian denomination. Enjoying the outdoors, Mrs. Graham found happiness in fishing, gardening, and even, four-wheeler riding. Loved by her family, with mutual feelings, she expressed that affection toward all five generations of her family. She had a passion for homemaking skills, cooking, and also providing for her family. She will be remembered for her love of animals, especially her cats.

Preceded in death by her husband, two great-grandsons: Nick Morrow and Austin Morrow; her parents: Jasper and Amanda Griffin White, she is also preceded in death by her siblings: two sisters: Mary and Iola Graham and one brother: Calvin J. White. Closeness in the Graham and White families were shared as the Graham brothers married the White sisters, providing three sets of doubled first cousins for the families.

Mother to Richard (Iba Dean) Graham and Louise (Kenneth) Morrow; grandmother to: Louanne Ferguson, Richard (Elizabeth) Graham. Jr., Ray Morrow, Marsha Graham, and Alesha (Stenson) Roark; great-grandmother to Nicholas Morrow, Haleigh (Travis) Loper, Zach (Caitlin) Morrow, Hunter (Alex) Graham, Austin Morrow, Josh Morrow, Olivia Ferguson, Kolton Morrow, Ali Roark, and Matthew Roark; great-great grandmother to Beth-Leigh Graham, Marshall Loper, and Hunter Smith, which completes the circle of five generations in the family of Decu and Mildred Graham, an accomplishment to be proud of.
