Mildred S. Green, age 85, a resident of Walnut Grove, died on Friday February 10, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Sunday , February 12, 2012 from the Sebastopol Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the Sebastopol Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm-8pm Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest, and again Sunday Feb 12, 2012 from 1pm-2pm at Sebastopol Baptist Church
She was a long time resident of the Walnut Grove community, having moved from McComb after living there from 1960 until 1971. Mrs. Green was active in the Locust Street Baptist Church of McComb, and was a member of the Sebastopol Baptist Church at the time of her death.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nolen Leroy Green, her parents, a brother, Melvin Sharp and a sister, Jacqueline Sharp Barfoot.
Mrs. Green is survived by her daughter , Seri Green Ferguson and a host of nieces and nephews.
Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest is in charge of arrangements.
