Milton Spears Jr.

Milton Leon Spears Jr., 60, passed away Sun. Dec. 20, 2020 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A graveside service will be held at 12:15pm on Wed. Dec. 23, 2020 at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.

Leon attended Jim Hill High School and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Mississippi University. Leon Spears was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife Angela were married for 38 years during which time some of their favorite hobbies were travelling, fishing, and being with family. Leon also enjoyed hunting with his son Cody. Two of Leon’s greatest joys were his grandchildren Avie and Emory; he was their Pawpaw and never missed an opportunity for play time. Leon enjoyed working as an insurance claims adjuster. He was a hard worker and wonderful provider for his family. Leon was a Christian and a member of Fannin Baptist Church, and he and Angela enjoyed attending church together.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Angela Spears; mother, Betty Spears; three children, Megan Spears, Katie Spears Rogers (Zachary) and Cody Spears (Constance); two grandchildren, Avie Lee Rogers and Emory Marie Spears; sister, Susan Spears and two nephews, Micah Boyd (Abbey) and Hayden Boyd (Taylor). Leon is preceded in death by his father, Milton Spears Sr.
