Mrs. Minnie Irene Romero, age 79, entered into her eternal glory from her place of residence on Monday, October 12, 2015. There was an immediate burial service held on Wednesday, October 15, 2015 at the Lodebar United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS at 1:30 pm. There was no visitation scheduled for the public.
Mrs. Romero was born in Delhi, LA on December 9, 1936 to the parents of Joe and Mary Belle "Thornton" Spencer. She worked as a health care worker for the Greensboro Nursing Home in Orange, TX for over ten years. She loved gardening, sewing and was a very gifted seamstress, and she loved flowers, decorating, making costumes for church plays, and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Bell "Thornton" Spencer.
Mrs. Minnie Romero is survived by her special care givers, nephew and wife, James and Irma Porter of Morton; by her sisters, Jo Ann Wadsworth of Pelahatchie, Theresa Walton of Brandon; by her brother Ray Spencer of Atlanta, GA. She also has two sons, Jamie Fusilier of Texas, Steven Fusilier of Maine; and one daughter Sindy Rosette of Texas; four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.
