Minrose Searcy Bridges, age 84, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Visitation was held 5-8pm Monday, October 26, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 10am Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Bro. Earl Clark and Bro. Jason Westmoreland officated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Bridges was born in Scott County on July 9, 1931. She loved to play cards and dominoes. Minrose loved to shop and go out to eat with friends. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix T. Green and Iva Moorehead Green; husbands, Ray Earl Searcy and Percy Cleve Bridges; brothers, Ralph Green and Harold Green.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina Searcy Savell and husband, James N. Savell of Brandon; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Savell and Anna Savell; sister, Juanita Reynolds of Byram; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Kyle Reynolds, Greg Reynolds, Bryan Nutt, Harry Reynolds, Jimmy Nutt, Bill Beard, David Green, Johnny Green and Larry Reynolds.
Memorials may be made in her name to First Baptist Church of Morton.
