Morris Gray

Morris Lavonne Gray, 71, was born on June 4, 1944 in Stonewall, MS, to Reverend R.C. and Earline Gray. He passed away on July 25, 2015 from heart disease.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Nelson Gray. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carol White Gray, his daughters Katie and Rebecca Gray, and his granddaughter, Callie Gray. He is also survived by his brother, Roger Gray, and wife Claudia, and several nieces and nephews.
Morris went into the logging business at the age of fourteen with an old truck and a five-dollar chainsaw. He was adventurous and inventive, and established businesses in logging, heavy equipment, and land development. He loved to travel and made friends wherever he went. He was generous and loved to share, especially a joke. He will be sorely missed by many, many friends and family.
Visitation will be held from 12noon to 2pm Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A memorial service will be at 2pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in his honor to the charity of your choice.
