Mr. Jack Jewett Gregory, Jr., age 72, a resident of the Cato Community, but formerly of Scott County, passed away on Sunday, August 09, 2015 at his residence. Visitation was held 5-9pm Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service was held 10am Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Gulde Cemetery. Bro. Gary Wyatt officiated the services. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Jack was born in Smith County on February 4, 1943. He loved being outdoors fishing, deer hunting and playing golf. Jack also enjoyed being a mechanic, tinkering on cars and playing softball. During football season he enjoyed cheering for the New Orleans Saints. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie Jack Gregory and Odethel Quick Gregory; son, Billy Jack Gregory and brothers, Billy Joe, Charles Ray, David Jewett and Richard Curtis Gregory.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Gregory of the Cato Community; children, Richard Gregory (Connie) of Morton, Jack David Ingram of Branch, David Matthew Gregory of Brandon, Donna Kimble (Andrew) of Morton, Gail Warnsley (Kenny) of Morton and Lisa Atkins of Brandon; 7 sisters, Bobbie Gail Shoemaker of Forest, Peggy Macaluso of Brandon, Linda Ingle (Rick) of Bolton, Cora Mitchell (Danny) of Brandon, April Walters (Henry) of Bolton, Dottie Binkley (Charles) of Brandon and Melissa Pinter of Forest; 2 brothers, Kenneth Gregory of Brandon and Claude Gregory (Becky) of King, TX; 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Danny Mitchell, Bubba Gregory, Jamie Laird, John Paul Wallace, Michael Blair, Charles Binkley, Emilio Warnsley and Ryu Warnsley. Serving as honorary pallbearer was Zachary Turner.
