Myrene Morgan

Myrene Cliburn Morgan, 67, a resident of Pearl, MS passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, January 19, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in the Crystal Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Morgan was a native of Lawrence County, MS. She was the daughter of Myron Cliburn and Willie B. Thomas. She was married to Larry Morgan. Mrs. Morgan was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson, MS where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She worked in the Aerospace industry for many years before retiring. She will be remembered by her family as a nurturer, one who enjoyed making those around her happy and always enjoyed doing for others. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and was the recipient of the “Yard of the Month” on many occasions. She loved her family very much and enjoyed the time nurturing her grandchildren, Zachary and Addison, and the time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Myron Cliburn and Willie B. Thomas; step father, Willie L. Henderson; sisters, Barbara Ann Cliburn, Dorothy Cliburn Sills, Frances Jeanette Stovall and Bennie Joyce Alexander.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, Larry Morgan; children, Michael W. (Jessica) Morgan, Shawn B. Morgan and Leah (Charlie) Bingham; sisters, Janie (Buddy) Thomas and Nancy (Larry) Sanders; brothers, James Cliburn and Mike (Theresa) Cliburn; grandchildren, Zachary Morgan, Addison Morgan, Ashton Waddell, Bradley Wayne Bingham and Gracie Ellen Bingham; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
