Myrtis Gibbs Mccrory

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtis Gibbs McCrory will be conducted Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 10 AM from the Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Laird and Bro. Victor Bugg officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. McCrory was born November 20, 1928 in Newton County to her parents Clarence & Sadie Fagan Gibbs and passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her home at the age of 86. She was a lifelong resident of Newton County where she worked for the Newton Company for over 40 years and at Walmart in Newton for 10 years. Favorite past times were sewing and tending to her flowers. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: Billy Gibbs.
Survivors include her daughters: Sandra (Delbert) Walton, Peggy (Victor) Bugg, and Billie (Travis) Watkins, all of Lawrence; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mamie (Ed) Nester of Lake and Mary Sue Fulton of Conehatta; and one brother: Charles Gibbs of Lawrence.
Pallbearers will be Chris Thompson, James Moore, Mickey McMillan, Justin Chapman, Chris Nutt, and Rodney Walton.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest is in charge of the arrangements.
