Myrtle Frances McCraney, 82, passed away Wed. March 21, 2012 at the Bedford Care Nursing Home in Mendenhall, MS. Visitation will be held Fri. March 23, 2012 from 5pm.-7pm. and Sat. March 24, 2012 from 9am.-10am. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am. Sat. March 24, 2012 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. McCraney was born in Homewood, MS and has lived most of her life in Brandon, MS. She was a member of the Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS where she was also a longtime Sunday School teacher. Mrs. McCraney also loved gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Neal McCraney and her brother, Gene Key.
She is survived by her three children, Denise Ray (Jerome) of Puckett, Tim Derrick (Paula) of Brandon and Jim Derrick of Forest; three sisters, Dimple Winstead of Forest, McDollen Barnes of Forest and Ann Gregory of Alabama; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Meadow Grove Baptist Church 3221 Louis Wilson Dr. Brandon, MS 39042.
