Myrtle Means

Myrtle Lee Means, 77, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, at her home. Visitation will be 5 pm until 8pm Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services will be 2 pm Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Union Baptist Church out of Puckett with visitation starting a 1 pm prior to the church service. Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Connor Alford and Rev. Dennis Ellingburg officiating. Pallbearers will be Ed Varner, Thomas Skinner, Nathan Smith, Weldon Smith, Ritchie Means, and Aubrey Russell.

Mrs. Means was a member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl. She loved her family, working in her yard, and traveling. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was employed at the MS State Hospital for 40 years.

Her husband, William Decovin Means, parents, H.C. and Maude Cliburn and siblings, Brenda Russell, Gertie McNaughton, Vaiden Barlow, and Edward Cliburn preceded her in death.

Myrtle is survived by her children, Billy Means and wife, Roxane of Pearl; daughter, Donna Moore and husband of Cliff of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Thomas Means, Leah Means, Matthew Winstead and wife Margie, Ashley Moore, Zach Moore, Savannah Moore, and Logan Moore; great-grandchildren, Ruby Lynn Winstead, Decovin Winstead and Gavyn Means; sister, Emily Thompson of Pearl; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be contributed to McLaurin Heights Baptist Church.
