Nancy Depoyster

Nancy Ann DePoyster, 58, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on August 5, 2017 peacefully in her sleep at home with her family. Visitation will be held on Mon. Aug. 7, 2017 from 5pm-7pm and on Tues. Aug. 8, 2017 from 12pm-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Tues. Aug. 8, 2017 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Nancy was born in Laurel, Mississippi on January 6, 1959. She graduated from Brandon High School. Nancy was married to Ricky A. DePoyster on March 28, 1998, they were married for 19 years. Nancy worked for Rogers Dabbs Chevrolet for 30 years, and prior to that she worked for LeFleur Cadillac for 10 years. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, working on projects, working in her flower beds, and being the best support system for her children.  Nancy was very involved with her community and active in breast cancer awareness events. The most important thing about Nancy was that she was selfless. She always put others first. Especially her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her kindness and generosity spanned each life she touched. Her laughter was contagious, and her compassion endless. She lived an inspiring life full of strength, independence, and will power to overcome any obstacle. She is beloved, and will be greatly missed.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Ainsworth, father, Benjamin Dixon, stepfather, Aubrey Ainsworth, sister, Kathy Arnold, and nephew, Daniel Myers.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Ricky A. DePoyster, her three children, Michael McCrory and his wife Stacey, Brandy McCrory, and Christina Rogel and her husband Beau Rogel; her two grandchildren Reed and Joseph Rogel; her two sisters, Mary Ann Myers and her husband Victor, Glenda Boyd, her brother Johnny Dixon and his wife Wanda, a host of nieces and nephews; and the rest of her relatives and friends.
