Nancy Ferguson, 101, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Jaquith Nursing Home in Whitfield, MS.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Concord Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 pm Monday, January 13, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Rev. Vic Bowman will officiate. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Ferguson was a native of Rankin Co. She was the daughter of Reginald and Ella Wolley Finch. She was married to John Rankin Ferguson and George Fortenberry. She loved working for her family and spending time in the flower beds. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Ella Wolley Finch; 1st husband, John Rankin Ferguson; 2nd husband, George Fortenberry; son, John Rankin Ferguson; sisters, Katherine Purvis and Agnes Pennington; brother, Henry Finch.
Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Frank) Haddox of Slaughter, LA, Mary Doyle Davis of Brandon, Dora Alice (Edward Carlton) Hall of Pelahatchie and Carrie Louise Bryant of Pelahatchie; sister-in-law, Peggy Ferguson of Brandon; 21 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; many other family members, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Bragg, Randall Bragg, Chris Bryant, Josh Jordan , Phil Ferguson, Keith Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Clint Thompson, Gary Davis, Eddie Hall, Keith Langheinz, Mike Davis, Daniel David, Jeff Ferguson, Darrell Haddox and Wayne Haddox.
