Nathan Bennett Carraway, 68, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Glenwood Medical Center in Louisiana.  Funeral services will be at 2pm Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS, with visitation starting at 1:00 pm.  Interment will be in Mt. Pisgah in Rankin County.

Mr. Carraway was born in Westwood, CA to Charles Bennett Carraway and Nell Elizabeth Carraway.  He graduated from North Charleston High School in Charleston, SC, where he played in the band.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was stationed in South Weymouth, MA.  While in the military he received training in Millington, TN, in aviation electronics, tactical air navigation and radar altimeter.

After the Navy he attended Louisiana Tech University for electrical engineering, then later working at Riverwood International for22 years.  He was a private pilot and loved to fly airplanes.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Carraway; daughter, Precia Carraway; siblings, Wanda Laurent (Charles), Donna Jean Cook, Terri Bergeron, Adam Carraway, Fred Carraway, Tommy Fairchild and Sherry Fairchild; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents.
