Ned Hood

Ned Vernon Hood, 76, a resident of Brandon, MS died Monday, December 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services were held 2 pm Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in the Lodebar United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS. Visitation was held from 5 pm until 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hood was a native of Yazoo County and the son of R.B. Hood and Sadie J. Wiggley Hood. He is married to Christine Westbrook Hood. Mr. Hood was a truck driver for Burlington Motor Company for many years before retiring. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Mr. Hood is preceded in death by his parents, R.B. Hood and Sadie J. Wiggley Hood; brothers, Bobby Hood and Mike Hood.

Mr. Hood is survived by his wife of 34 years, Christine Westbrook Hood; children, Charles John (Arlyn) Hood, Robert (Janie) Hood, Al Hood, Kanani Higa; Lani Pacrem; Angel (Wiley) Smith, Teresa Thomas and Stephanie McLain; sister, Janice Hurley; a number of grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
