Nelda Lee Breedlove

Nelda Lee Breedlove, 79, of Brandon, MS. She crossed over to her eternal home with the Lord, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, with her family by her side, and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be held on Fri. Oct. 18, 2024 from 3pm-4:30pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm on Fri. Oct. 18, 2024 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. 

She was so full of life and was a great soulmate, partner for life, and wife. Nelda was born in Hattiesburg and grew up in Petal, she attended Petal schools and graduated from Petal High School. While in high school she was in the band where she played clarinet.

Nelda then attended University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with a degree psychology. Years later, she attended Mississippi college and graduated with a master’s degree in counseling education. She then went to work for Jackson public schools where she worked for 23 years and retired in 2016.

After she retired, she enjoyed every day with her two little Shih Tzu‘s Halle and Ace and would relax by reading books and doing her color therapy. In 1992, she met her life partner, which she then eventually married, and they had a wonderful home that they could call home till the end.

She is preceded in death by her father, Archie Robert Lee; her mother, Esna Thompson Lee; her sister, Patricia Ray; and her son, Michael Brad Staton. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lloyd Breedlove of Brandon Mississippi; her sister, Sue Lee Bush of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; her brother, Bob Lee of Petal Mississippi, and numerous nieces and nephews.
