Nelda Ellen Grissom Dye, 86, a resident of Pearl died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Brandon Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brandon, MS. Graveside services was held at 11 am Wednesday at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Visitation was held from 5-7 pm Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Rev. Keith Grubbs officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Mrs. Dye was a native of Rankin County. She was the daughter of Ray and Lorena Stevenson Grissom. She was married to Eddie Manning and Esry Moozon Dye. She worked for Overby Drug Store as a waitress for many years. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Mrs. Dye loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Mrs. Dye was preceded in death by her two husbands, Eddie Manning and Esry Moozon Dye; parents, Ray and Lorena Stevenson Grissom; sisters, Elmay Leigh Haynes, Palma Ray Hammons, Nila Hutson and Patricia Dukes; brothers, Gene Grissom and Thomas Grissom. Mrs. Dye is survived by her children, James Leonard (Sue) Manning, Eddie Thomas (Rosie) Manning, Wiley Hugh Manning, Richard Nathaniel Manning, Pamela Rae (Robert) Carty, Alice Kay Stewart, Johnny Lee Manning, Nancy Ellen Manning and Danny (Ruby) Manning; sister, Rebecca (Vernon) McManus; brother, Billy (Ann) Grissom; 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
