Nell Janice Boozer, age 84, and a resident of Spring City, TN, formerly of Forest, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Spring City Rehab and Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Reggie Tatum officiating. Interment will follow in the Goshen Cemetery in Leake County under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home.
Music will be provided by Mrs. Georgette Boozer, soloist and Mrs. Irene Martin, instrumentalist.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boozer retired from the Forest Municipal Schools as secretary. Gardening was a favorite past time. She was a member of the Forest Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Codie Boozer; her parents: John Jackson and Jennie Mae Cox Brantley; two sisters: Mabel Beard and Genevieve Wallace; and seven brothers: Lamar Brantley, Bill Brantley, Roy Brantley, Dewitt Brantley, J.B. Brantley, Abner Brantley, and Murphy Brantley.
Survivors include three children: Robert (Georgette) Boozer of Spring City, TN; John (Linda) Boozer of Jackson, MS and Virginia (John) Kapelouzos of Woodinville, WA; seven grandchildren: Zachary Boozer, Constance Boozer, Jenny Kapelouzos, Breanna Lewis, Gary McCoy, Dale McCoy, and Ray McCoy; one sister: Eula Mae Brantley Duroux of New Jersey; and two brothers: William O. “ Bill” Brantley and Louis “Gary” Brantley, both of Purvis, MS; numerous nieces and nephews.
