Nell Grant, 81, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 2pm Friday at Lakeland Presbyterian Church in Flowood with visitation starting at 1pm at the church. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park South.
Mrs. Grant was born in Edinburg, MS on March 6, 1934. She retired from the Hinds County Tax Collector’s office as a Data Clerk and was a member of Lakeland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elsie Mooney Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Grant, Sr.; daughter, Daphne Grant; son John Grant, Jr. (Pam); granddaughter, Shelby Grant; sister, Martha Furr; brother, Lee Johnson, Sr.; and she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
