Nell Adcox Phillips, age 90, a longtime resident of Polkville passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton. Visitation was held 5-8pm Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2pm Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial at Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bro. Tal Vardaman officiated the services and also blessed the service with music. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Smith County on July 21, 1924. She loved to read and work in her garden. She loved her family very much and her grandchildren and great grandchildren had a special place in her heart. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Thomas Phillips; daughter, Myrtle Dennis; parents, Luther Adcox and Elizabeth Thorn Adcox; 5 siblings; 1 grandchild, Greg Dennis; 2 great grandchildren, Nikki Dennis and Amanda Dennis and 2 great great grandchildren, Keagan & Kaiden Bryant.
She is survived by her son, Rickey Phillips (Sue) of Pearl; 2 grandchildren, Jeff Dennis (Susan) and Shannon Dennis; 9 great grandchildren, Skylar Dennis, Shawn Dennis, Crystal Moore, Candise Dennis, Gregory Dennis Jr., Eric Dennis, Michael Dennis, Heather Buckley and David Weaver and son-in-law; Clark Dennis of Polkville.
Pallbearers were Eric Dennis, Shawn Dennis, Jordan Gray, Shawn Adcox, Shannon Dennis and Greg Dennis Jr.
