Nicholas Clay Phillips (Nick), Age 27 , a resident of Polkville, MS. Passed away Saturday November 27, 2021, in Smith County. Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 9am-12:30pm on Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Barron Price, Bro. Zac Harmon and Bro. Scotty Cooper will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers, Joshua Byrd, Jeremy, Charlie Jordan, Ryan Atkins, Nekodha Phillips and John Thomas Cooper; honorary pallbearers, Jay Phillips and Joshua Cumberland. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Phillips worked in the plumbing business. He was a Christian by faith affiliated with Morton United Pentecostal Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, four-wheeler riding and gardening. Nick will be remembered for the love that he had for his family and especially his four children.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Johnnie Ray Harmon and paternal grandparents, Cecil Phillips, and Mary Lou Smith. Survivors include his wife, Brittany Phillips; four children: Braylon Lucas Phillips, Nicholi William Phillips & twins, Joah Travis & Jonlyn Rae Phillips; Parents: Mike & Karol Phillips, two brothers: Justin Phillips & Matthew Phillips, wife Whitney Phillips; Maternal Grandmother: Bonnie Jean Harmon; Four Nephews: NeKodha, Tristin, Jaden and John Rylee Phillips.
