Nikki Lynn Pace Chisolm, 73, joined her Heavenly Father on Monday, September 4, 2017.  She passed away at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS.  There will be an 11am memorial service on Thursday, September 7, 2017, in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Jackson with visitation starting at 9:30am prior.

Nikki was born in Meridian, MS on April 16, 1944 to the late David Pace and Louise Culpepper Pace.  She later moved to Jackson, MS and was a seamstress at Capital Menswear.  She then received her Master’s Degree in counseling from Mississippi College.  She had a passion for ministry, and was employed with Summit Counseling at First Baptist Church of Jackson for many years, where she founded the Survivors of Suicide support group and Piece and Joy, a Christian quilting group.

Nikki was an avid quilter and a beloved wife, mother, friend and counselor.

Nikki was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Chisolm, and will be remembered by her loving husband, Charles Chisolm; son, Eric Chisolm; cousins, David and Becky White and a cousin-in-law, Elaine Isbell; a sister-in-law, Susan Combs and her husband, Kane and niece and nephew, Karen Dennis and Jason Combs; she will also be remembered by special family friends, Ron and Karen Crowe and Lafe and Martha Calhoun.

The family would like to give special thanks for the care given to Nikki, to the members of the Boteler/Young Sunday School Class, especially the Crowes and Dot Gamblin, also Sister Catherine at St. Dominic’s and the rest of the staff at St. Dominic’s Hospital that participated in her care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summit Counseling of FBC Jackson, 431 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39201.
