Nina Mae Jordan McGee,86, died on February 3, 2012 at Marshall Medical Center South Hospital in Boaz, Alabama.
She had lived with her daughter in Boaz, Alabama for the past 12 years. She was a lifelong resident of Scott and Newton Counties in Mississippi. Mrs. McGee was a member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She was born to Hassie and Thomas Jordan on August 3, 1925.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Freeman McGee, and son Lanny McGee of Lake, Mississippi.
Mrs. McGee is survived by daughter, Betty Joyce(James) Walden of Boaz,Alabama,and son Gerald(Brenda) McGee of Lake, Mississippi. She had 6 grandchildren; Rhonda (Damon) Smith, Cindy (Jeff) Bachelor, of Boaz, Alabama; Russell(Theresa) McGee of Lake, Mississippi, Steven (Karey) McGee, of Lake, Mississippi, Renee McGee Stroud of Hickory, Mississippi, and Heather McGee of Forest, Mississippi. She also had 10 great grandchildren; Tyler, Ashlyn and Kaitlyn Smith; Kristin and Brittany Bachelor; Drew and Peyton McGee; Shelby Ates; Kaylee and Paige McGee.
Pallbearers were: Damon Smith, Jeff, Bachelor, Tyler Smith, Russell McGee, Steven McGee, Drew McGee, Peyton McGee.
Services were held Sunday, Feb 5, 2012 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Forest Mississippi with interment in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Newton County. Rev Tommy Anderson and Rev. Sammy Stroud officiated the services.
Funeral services were provided by Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest.
