Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Morton.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until 12:30 pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Nora Lavern Regions Mahaffey, 92, a resident of Morton died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at her home. Visitation was held 10 am until 12:30 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. A graveside service was held at 1 pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Morton. Rev. Judd Alford officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mahaffey was a native of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Steven Dennis Regions and Josephine Bailey Regions. She was married to James Harold Mahaffey. Mrs. Mahaffey worked as a Nurses Aid at Scott County Hospital for many years. She was a member of Faith One Full Gospel Church in Jackson, MS. Mrs. Mahaffey loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Mahaffey was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, James Harold Mahaffey; parents, Sidney Dennis Regions and Josephine Bailey Regions; by all her siblings and her daughter in law, Meg Mahaffey.
Mrs. Mahaffey is survived by her children, Glenn (Miriam) Mahaffey, David Earl Mahaffey, Elaine (Charles) Ratcliffe, Sarah (Jerry) Porter, Billy Joe (JoAnn) Mahaffey and Patsy (Mac) Green; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving and honoring Mrs. Mahaffey were Mitchell Mahaffey, Eric Green, Jeffery Sloan, AJ Mahaffey, Chuck Ratcliffe, Brad Porter, Justin Dickinson, Austin Fikes and Alex Fikes.
