Norman Vincent Langford
Brandon, MS

Norman Vincent Langford, 76, passed away on Thursday, November 02, 2017, at his home.  Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, November 3, 2017, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  A memorial service will be held 11am Saturday, in the chapel of the funeral home.

Mr. Langford was born in Jackson, MS, on June 14, 1941, to Norman James Langford and Mary Jacqueline Alderman Langford.  He was a member of Flowood Baptist Church.

He had a striking presence with the most beautiful eyes.  He loved eating a good meal with good friends and would be planning the next meal before he finished eating that meal.  He adored his family and his wife, children and grandchildren, which were the apple of his eye.  Vince had a love for longtime friends as if no long period of time had passed and he was very encouraging, loving and accepting of all.

He was greeted Thursday morning with a wagging tail, by his beloved dog, Chipper who passed away a few months ago, after 16 very spoiled years by Vince’s side.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sue McNeil Langford; son, Chris Langford (Melaina); daughters, Pamela Young (Cliff) and Amanda Langford (Beverly); sister, Randa Slade; brothers, Paul Langford (Stacy), Sam Langford and Lance Langford (Stacy); grandchildren, Josh Langford (Johnna), Zach Langford (Scarlet) Cooper Langford, Charlee Grace Langford, Noah Young and Kiefer Young; great grandson, Leo Vincent Langford; several aunts, uncles and cousins and he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mary Jack Langford and his beloved dog Chipper.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society.
