Olivia Rae Watkins, 17, passed away Tues. March 4, 2014 in Florence, MS. Visitation will be held Fri. March 7, 2014 from 10am-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm Fri. March 7, 2014 at the funeral home with burial in the May Cemetery in Rankin County.
Olivia was born in Flowood, MS and has lived all of her life in Hinds and Rankin County. She was a member of Truitt Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Olivia was a senior at McLaurin High School where she was a member of the Key Club and was also a member of the Rodeo Team at Florence High School. She loved horses and was a member of various riding clubs. Olivia loved all animals and was known for saving any animal that was in distress. Olivia never meet a stranger and always saw the good in people.
She is survived by her mother, Melissa Watkins; her adopted father, Marshall Keith Watkins; her sister, Gracie Watkins; maternal grandparents, Geraldine Williamson and Kenneth Blevins; paternal grandparents, David and Barbara Ivy and Kay Watkins. Olivia is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her biological father, David Wayne Ivy II and her adopted paternal grandfather, Marshall Watkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Olivia’s name to CARA at 960 N Flag Chapel Rd, Jackson, MS 39209.
