Ollie Faye Jones

On March 8, 2024, Ollie Faye Jones went to be with her Heavenly Father.  Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Mon. March 11, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and from 2pm-3pm on Mon. March 11, 2024 at Concord Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS followed by funeral and graveside services at Concord Baptist Church in Pelahatchie at 3pm.

Ollie Faye Jones was born March 25, 1940, in Union, MS to Evelyn Mae Reeves McNair and Amos Banks McNair.   Ollie Faye accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in VBS at Beacon Street Baptist Church while her uncle, Raymond Herrington, lead a sermon on John 3:16. She graduated from East Central Community College and Mississippi College. Ollie Faye taught school for 25 years where she was loved by her students and families. She married the love of her life, Doyle Jones, June 16, 1963.  They were blessed with three sons, Kevin Wayne, Christopher Doyle (Tracy) and Craig Banks (Vickie). Ollie Faye had three grandchildren she adored, Ashleigh, Owen, and Devin and her precious great grands, Marleigh Rose and Maxwell Cross. Ollie Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Jones, son Kevin Jones, parents Banks & Evelyn McNair, and brothers Charles and James Harold McNair.

Ollie Faye always enjoyed singing in the choir at her church homes.  She loved her current church, Concord Baptist in Pelahatchie, MS, where she helped with the card ministry, taught Discipleship Training, and VBS, as well as played the piano. 

She loved God, her family, and friends.  Ollie Faye’s greatest joy was serving her God!
