Ora Mae Carter White

Ora Mae Carter White, 97, went home to her Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018. Visitation is 9 am Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Services will begin at 11 am Wednesday at the church with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Rev. David Slaughter, Rev. Chris Cumbust and Rev. David Shumaker will officiate.

Mrs. White was an active member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pelahatchie and has been a resident of Brandon Court for the past 4 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. White; her parents, Marvin and Carrie Knight Carter; her brothers, Chester (Inez) Carter, James Carter, George (Merle) Carter, Claiborne (Annie Mae) Carter, Roy (Bettie Rae) Carter, John (Edith) Carter and sister, Ruth (Albert) Rhodes.

Mrs. White is survived by her children, Daniel (Charlotte) White, Peggy (George) Shumaker, Elsie (Gene) Banes and Andy (Margaret) White; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh UMC Building Fund and the family would like to give a special thank you to the Staff of Brandon Court and the Staff of Pax Hospice.
