Ouida M. McNeil, 75, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 3pm Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Brandon Baptist Church. Entombment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.
Mrs. McNeil was born in Jackson, MS on January 7, 1941 to Dewey and Lena Miller Forbes. Ouida was a member of Brandon Baptist Church where she enjoyed volunteering. She also volunteered at several hospitals and loved to paint, fish and travel. She also enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers, especially her Orchids.
Survivors include her husband, Don McNeil; daughters, Sherry Perry and Renee Morizio (Lorenzo); sister, Pat Joyner (Charles); brother, Robert Forbes (Diane); sisters-in-law, Lois McNeil, Pat McNeil and Linda McNeil; 2 granddaughters, Stacey Hibbard (Jesse) and Serena Morizio; 2 great granddaughters, Audrey Hibbard and Perry Hibbard; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Jean Worthy, and a great grandson, Dawson Hibbard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund.
