Palmer S. Kirkpatrick, age 78, a resident of Conehatta, died Friday November 8, 2013 at the Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia following an extended illness.
Family and friends gathered for a Memorial service at 1pm Sunday November 17, 2013 at the Nolan Sistrunk Pavillion in Sebastopol. Rev. Howard Herring, Rev. Joe Crain and Rev. Chris Smith officiated.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was born in Choctaw, AL on March 12, 1935 to his parents Frederick Kirkpatrick and Louise Watkins Kirkpatrick. He was Pentecostal. Mr. Kirkpatrick served in a brief tour of duty in the Army in 1962. He had retired from the Lackey Home Center in 1996 where he worked as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Kirkpatrick of Conehatta; a son William Kirkpatrick of Conehatta, two daughters; Lynne Romero and Annette Wofford both of Meridian. He also leaves behind a legend of 6 grandchildren, Melissa LaBelle, Angie Smith, Nathan Romero, Tony Wofford, Katie Kirkpatrick, Andrew Wofford, and two step Grandchildren; Cassie McGilvery and Cody Radcliff.
Funeral services were provided by Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest.
