Pam Ingram Morris, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 92.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with the funeral service immediately following in the chapel at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
Pam was born February 20, 1933, in Sanford, Mississippi, to Archie Ray Ingram and Ola Mae Thrash Ingram. Growing up, she displayed musical talent, learning to play the piano by ear and singing in the church choir. She later met Winston Morris in a candy shop she was working at, and it was love at first sight. The two were married in 1950 and shared fifty-seven beautiful years of marriage until his passing in 2007. The couple moved to Jackson in 1965, later settling in Brandon in 1996. Mrs. Morris and her husband were longtime, active members of Altawoods Baptist Church in Jackson, where she served her community by teaching Sunday School and Bible School and volunteering in the kitchen on Wednesday nights, sharing her incredible cooking with other church members. She also worked for the church daycare until her retirement. In addition to her musical and culinary talents, Mrs. Morris was an avid seamstress, receiving accolades in the Clarion Ledger for her skills and helping other ladies with their sewing endeavors through the years.
Mrs. Morris loved to entertain at her home, having guests over and preparing meals for them. She also enjoyed playing bridge, especially on her girls’ trips, where they would play bridge, laugh, and have a good time all weekend long. Above all, she adored her family and taking care of them. She was a beloved and very involved mother, always volunteering as a room mom or Girl Scout leader, and a precious Nana to her grandchildren.
Pam can be described as “sassy” and outgoing, making quick friends everywhere she went. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Winston Morris; son; Brent O’Neal Morris; parents, Archie Ray and Ola Mae Ingram; infant son, Marshall Timothy Morris; and brothers, Arnold, George, and Adolph Ingram.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan Morris Lee (Robert); grandchildren, Lauren Nicole Shipp Brown (Jonathan), Mary Katherine Shipp, and Timothy Ashton Morris; great grandchildren, Jon Ander, Ella Grace, Emma Claire, and James Hudson Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
