Pamela Ann Pierce Gilbert, age 64, a resident of Brandon, died on February 29, 2016. She grew up in Long Beach, MS, and was a resident of the Jackson area for 45 years. She graduated from Belhaven College, and was retired from the Baker Donelson law firm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dorothy Leiker, her brother Jac Leiker, and her first husband Bobby Pierce. She is survived by her husband Daniel Gilbert, her son Alex Pierce (Julie), her brothers, Mark (Marilyn) and Scott, her nephews Nick Leiker and Ben Leiker, and her niece Grace Leiker. Alex and Julie are expecting a son, Lennon, in April.
Pam will be remembered as an independent and private person. She had a number of wonderful friends who meant so much to her. As she approached death she was comforted in the knowledge that her faith in God remained strong. She passed away at home with Daniel at her side.
She will be buried at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery with a private family ceremony. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
