Pastor Frank “Franko” Hillary Hornsby Jr, age 56, of Brandon, MS, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 12, 2023 doing what he loved studying the Bible and sending out his daily scriptures.

Frank was born on March 8, 1967, to Frank Hillary Hornsby Sr. and Carolyn Ann Northrop Hornsby in Baton Rouge, LA. Frank spent his early life excelling in athletics as well as an avid outdoorsmen, his favorite being turkeys. A graduate of Zachary High School, went on to play football at Southwest Community College in Summit, MS before moving on to play at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. While at Northwestern State, gave his life to Jesus December of 1988 in his dorm room, he met the love of his life Tonia Wood and they got married June 24th 1989. He then went on to get his degree in theology at MTI, while coaching and serving as the youth pastor at Reserve Christian under Bro. Rod Aguillard, eventually going on to serve as an associate pastor at Reserve. In June of 2005, he moved to Brandon, MS to start Life Church of Jackson, it was a vision that was 23 years in the making. Frank loved passionately his family, friends, and church family, he impacted countless lives through his passion and zeal for Jesus and deep covenant love and service of Jesus.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Tonia Wood Hornsby; son Hunter Hornsby and his wife Katey; son Holden Hornsby; daughter Haley Hornsby; son Hayden Hornsby, and grandchildren Hadley Taylor (Coco Puff) and Luke Hornsby (Rascal); father Frank Hornsby SR; and sister Kim Hornsby Sasso; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Ann Northrop Hornsby, grandparents Sidney and Williamette “MaMaw” Plauche Hornsby; grandparents Houston and Jean Northrop.

Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The funeral visitation will start at 12:30 p.m. service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS on Friday, June 16, 2023. Pallbearers will be Hunter Hornsby, Holden Hornsby, Haley Hornsby, Hayden Hornsby, Caleb Bergeron, and Buck Hornsby.

Graveside service will be held at Hornsby Family Cemetery on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 12 p.m. at 658 LA-63, Clinton, LA 70722.
