Survivors include her son, Kenneth Carroll; one grandson; and special friend, Leonardo A. O'Bier.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Bertha Nevel Simmons; husband, Charles Kenneth Carroll; and daughter, Monnie Carroll Singletary.
