Patricia Schneidau

February 5, 1935 — September 26, 2014

Patricia B. Donohoe Schneidau , 79, was called to her Eternal home on September 26, 2014 at her home in Brandon, MS. She was more than a mother and a house-wife, she was a magnificent mom to her children and was “Mama Pat” to many of her children’s friends.
Visitation will be held on Wed. Oct. 1, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am Thurs. Oct. 2, 2014 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Old Pisgah Cemetery in Rankin County, MS.
Patricia was born in Jackson, the daughter of Claude and Lavelle Buntyn. She attended St. Joseph High School, graduating in 1953. She is survived by two of her three children: Kathryn Donohoe Stotz (Dean) of Sacramento, CA and John William Donohoe (Lourdes) of Yucaipa, CA. Preceding her in death was her youngest son, Robert James Donohoe, along with her two husbands.
She worked as a food broker for three years in the Greater Jackson area, working with some of the best chefs. During Ronald Reagan’s administration, Patricia worked as a product specialist for Mississippi Industries for the Blind, calling on military installations for twenty-five states. While working this job, she had the opportunity to meet Colin Powell, John Lehman (Secretary of Navy), Rourke Russell (Secretary of Air Force) and was granted permission on all military bases in the country with her signed letter from Ronald Reagan (something of which she was most proud). She did this until she moved to New Orleans, where she lived from 1985 until 1999. After the death of her second husband, Doc, she returned to the Brandon area, where she lived until her death.
Her hobbies were reading, crocheting, knitting, and watching sunrises. Pat loved to sit on her porch and drink her coffee in the mornings, with her precious dog by her side. She looked forward to the sun rising and conversing with God, while watching Him “paint the sky with brilliant colors each day.”
In addition to her two children, she is survived by eight grandchildren; Michael Grogan (Adeline), John Grogan (fiance Vicky), Tricia Anglada (Ziven), Emma Stotz, Charles Stotz, Gregory Donohoe, (Allyson), Jenna Donohoe, and Danette Donohoe. She has one great grand daughter, Zoe Grogan, who’s the apple of her eye and Patricia has been anxiously awaiting the arrival of her second great grand daughter in November.
The family is exceptionally grateful to Gennell Goodman (GG), Betty Washington and her daughter, Shannon Mosley, for the love, laughter and attentive care given to their mother for the last few years of her life. We will always consider each of you as part of our family.
