Patton Heath Courtney, age 42, a resident of Morton passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 in Jackson. Visitation was held 6pm to 9pm Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 3pm Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Line Creek Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Scott Walters and Bro. Tal Vardaman officated the services. Arrangments were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Patton was born in Hinds County on October 18, 1973. He loved watching Mississippi State play football. Patton enjoyed watching wrestling and he even had a nick name of, Stone Cold, as people thought he favored that wrestler. He will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Courtney; grandparents, Pat and Marjorie Courtney and Prentiss and Marjorie Bruce.
He is survived by his parents, Patsy and Sam Fortenberry of Morton and Pat and Glenda Courtney of Brandon; children, Daygon Clay Williams of Brandon and Cierra Williams of Brandon; 3 sisters, Lorrie Westbrook (Randy) of Brandon, Jennifer Goldman of Pearl and Michelle Latham of Flowood; 3 brothers, Peyton Courtney (Cassie) of Morton, Chris Fortenberry (Misty) of Madison and Adam Kahn (Carrie) of Brandon; mother of children, Angel Williams of Brandon; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Scott Wallace, Adam Kahn, Johnnie Renfroe, Frankie Vinzant, Kyle Courtney, Chris Fortenberry, Charlie Williams and Kenny Ogden. Honorary pallbearer was Roger Moore.
