Paul Clifton McKellar died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at his home in Brandon, MS. with his wife of 50 years at his side. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM Saturday, December 3, 2011 in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday, December 2 and from 12 Noon until the service time on Saturday. Interment will take place in the Flora City Cemetery.
He was born in Miller County, Arkansas on January 19, 1936. He was raised in Rodessa, Louisiana and
graduated from Rodessa High School and then graduated from LA Tech University 1961 with a degree in accounting.
He became a CPA and worked for Ernst and Ernst before going into private practice.
Paul was an avid deep sea fisherman and scuba diver. He loved all sports, including golf, tennis and anything his daughters and grandchildren were involved in.
Pall Bearers are: DeWayne McKellar, Jimmie McKellar, Aarne Clow, Tony Laurens, Brian Enis, Austin Clow, Sakari Clow and Patrick Clow. Honorary Pall Bearers: William E. Laird, Mark F. Ware and Jonathan P. Clow.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Laird McKellar; daughters, Kathryn Young and husband Dan, Paulette Clow and husband Aarne, and Lisa Ware and husband Mark; 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and brothers, Dewayne McKellar and wife Margie, and Jimmie McKellar and wife Jacqui.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency, 12 River Bend Place, Flowood, MS 39232.
