Pauline McDill

Dexter, MO

Pauline Rigby McDill, age 96, a resident of Dexter, MO formerly of Forest, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Monday, January 22, 2024, from the Ephesus Baptist Church with interment following in the Ephesus Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10am till the service time at the church.  Bro Chris Harrison will officiate, and music will be provided by Mrs. Joyce Everett.

 Mrs. McDill, was born on August 5, 1927, in Forest to her parents Will Rigby and Maude Tatum.  She remained a living resident of this area until 2019, when she moved to Dexter, MO.  During her life here she was an active member of Ephesus Baptist Church.  She was a wonderful lady in every way, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who had a reverence for God and always acknowledged His goodness in her life.   She loved her family and enjoyed being with people.  She worked at Noah’s Ark Daycare in Forest and later worked at Forest Furniture until she retired.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 She was preceded in death by her husband of  36 years Bobbie Naul McDill who died on February 27, 1982, and her parents, a sister, Thelma Gardner,  brothers; Ted Rigby, Grover Rigby, and Chester Rigby, and two sons-in-law; Frank Rigby and Wendell Hawthorne.

 Survivors include her children; Linda Willis (Robert) of Dexter, MO Paula Hawthorne of Summerdale, AL, and Tammy Rigby of Canton, MS.   A sister, Lucille Cox of Carthage, MS, and brother, Malcolm Rigby of Forest, MS.   She leaves a legacy of four grandchildren; Lina Gibbs (Scott), Bobby Willis (Jennifer), Tony Kaylor (Christie) and Danny Noblin, five great-grandchildren;  Sam Gibbs, Kyle Willis, Jake Harris, Wade Duty, and Kameron Kaylor.
