Peggy J. McCrory, age 73, a resident of Morton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on Sunday, May 21, 2023.  Visitation will be held 5pm-8pm Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Chapel services will be held 2:30pm Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Hodge Hill Cemetery.  Bro. Gary Wyatt will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Peggy was born in Ludlow, MS on April 25, 1950.  She loved going to the casino, working in her flowers and watching the beauty of the hummingbirds.  Peggy enjoyed going fishing, playing games on her tablet, thrift shopping and her furbaby she called cat.  She was known for her famous baking of breakfast foods and her delicious desserts.  Peggy loved her family very much and spoiled the grandchildren by always giving them a dollar and a what knot when they came over.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death  by her husband, Eddie McCrory, Sr.; parents, Curtis and Elizabeth Pilgrim; sister, Kathy Myrick and daugther-in-law, Jada McCrory.

She is survived by her loving children, Shirley (Ramey) Lawrence of Forest, Janette (Ken) Yount of Morton, Tommy (Angie) McCrory of Morton and E.J. McCrory of Forest; 11 grandchildren, Kelly (Jason) Goss, Katie (Allen) Smith, Chris (Jasmine) McCrory, Tommy (Heather) McCrory, Daniel Lawrence, Dustin Lawrence, Brock Salers, Ciera McCrory, Izzy Nabors, Sharlee Walley and Cody (Heather) Buckley; 19 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tommy McCrory, E.J. McCrory, Christopher McCrory, Tommy Lee McCrory, Daniel Lawrence, Dustin Lawrence, Brock Salers and Ken Yount.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ramey Lawrence and Brailyn Lawrence.
