Penny Potts Trigg, 73, a resident of Ridgeland, MS, passed away Tues. Jan. 21, 2020 at Merit Health Central Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Sat. Jan. 25, 2020 from 11am-12:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm on Sat. Jan. 25, 2020 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial in the Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS. Mr. Jeremy Jeffcoat officiated the services. Pallbearers were Taylor McElhenney, Alex Shive, Tucker Beckett, Tannor Jeffcoat, Parker Shive and Jacob Doler.
Mrs. Trigg was born on July 31, 1946 in Lexington, MS to the late James Wilburn Potts and Dorothy Jo Harris Potts. Penny grew up in Holmes County with her parents, brother, Jimmy and identical twin sister, Peggy. She married Charles Trigg and they were married for 50 years. She graduated from Holmes Agricultural High School and then went to USM where she received a degree in Recreation.
Penny was an extremely talented painter who enjoyed meeting with her painting group. She loved spending time with her family and her grandsons, Landon and Liam and her many grandnieces and nephews. Penny was an amazing cook that loved cooking the old family traditions as well as trying new ones.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Reed Trigg; daughter, Shannon Leigh Poe (Shane); son, Jason Reed Trigg; two grandchildren, Landon Reed Trigg, Liam Christian Trigg and three nieces, Terry Doler, Stacey Jeffcoat and Melissa Shive.
