Phil Philliips Morton Phil Phillips, age 58, a resident of Morton passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson. His visitation was held 5:30pm – 8pm Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and 11:30am-12:45pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services were held 1pm Wednesday at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Independence United Methodist Cemetery. Bro. Billy Ray Parker officated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Phil was born in Tampa, Florida on April 13, 1958. He loved to ride his motorcycle and loved his family. Phil had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, James B. Phillips Sr. and Peggy J. Phillips. He is survived by his children, Cody Phillips and wife, Elizabeth of Morton and Ciera Phillips Bailey and husband, James of Morton; sisters, Candy Smith of Nashville and Jamye Rawls of Mt. Julet, TN; 2 grandchildren, Madison Belah Phillips and Rhyder Layne Bailey; and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Cody Phillips, James Bailey, Josh Hayman, Mark Torrence, Louis Johnson, Sam McDill, Gordon Jones and Ronny Herron.
