Memorial services for Philip Ross Harrell will be held at a later date in the presence of his immediate family. Inurnment will be in the Salem Baptist Cemetery at Lake.
Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2015 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Philip Ross Harrell was born in Forest on January 12, 1964 to his parents, the late Buddy and Frances Stephens Harrell. He passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the age of 51.
A longtime resident of Forest, with the exception of the ten years he lived in Louisiana, he was an avid hunter. Philip enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He was a NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan. He also had a special interest in horses and his dogs, particularly pit bulls.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Stephen Ray Harrell.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Rae Harrell of Forest; his son: Cody Harrell, and his fiance’, Samantha Hopper of Batesville; two sisters: Wilma Jean Hallman and her husband, Wilson of Burns and Diann Sharp and her husband, David of Forest; two brothers: Stanley Harrell and his wife, Angie of Pearl and Danny Harrell and his wife, Stephanie of Lafayette, LA; four nieces and four nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Center, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Blair E. Baston Children’s Hospital, 2500 N State St, Jackson, MS 39216.
