Philip Warren

Philip Hal Warren, age 82, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his home in Brandon.

Funeral services will be at Brandon First United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 10:30am with interment following at Puckett Cemetery in Puckett, MS. Rev. Scott Larsen will officiate. Visitation will be at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS on Monday, June 28,2021 from 4pm-6pm.

Mr. Warren was born February 20, 1939, to Kirby Warren and Agnes Shotts Warren of Puckett, MS. He graduated from Puckett High School, Hinds Community College, and the University of Southern Mississippi. He was a teacher and coach at Pearl High School from 1961-67 and Rankin County Circuit Clerk for 28 years, serving from 1967-1995.

“Up” as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren, loved to turkey hunt, and spend time with family and friends. He was a member of Puckett United Methodist Church and later, Brandon First United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class.

Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents and his cousin, Ben Warren. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Patsy Grantham Warren; two daughters, Tress Warren Gardner (Scott) and Kelli Warren Adcock (Ronnie), all of Brandon; three grandchildren, Eliza Adcock Polk (Tayler), Philip Gardner, Sally Adcock and cousin, Phyllis Warren Kennedy (Tom).

Pallbearers are Guy Warren, Ben Warren, Bennett Crain, Chris Shamburger, and Michael Guest. Honorary Pallbearers are the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Shell Coffee Club.
