Phyllis was born on December 22, 1956, to James Greener and Senie Elizabeth Hubbard of Forest. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, where she was an active and loved church member. She worked at Raytheon Technologies until the time of her retirement. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and church members. Mrs. Cox was known for her huge heart; she often spent her free time visiting shut-ins from her church and would often comfort them with song and prayers. As a friend, she could always be counted on for a kind word; as a mother, she was a strong shoulder to cry on and a guiding force in life; as a wife, Phyllis was Larry’s everything. She selflessly cared for him over the years, was compassionate and always forgiving. Phyllis enjoyed every aspect of life, from spending time with her grandchildren to growing beautiful roses in her garden, she was a happy-go-lucky soul who could easily brighten your day. She never turned down the opportunity to take a nap, but always had time to pray for those in need.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, James Greener and Senie Elizabeth Hubbard.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Larry Cox; two daughters, April Moore (Charles) of Forest, Kristy Delgato (Louis) of Houston, TX; one son, Jeff Cox (Amy) of Houston, TX; one brother, Rodney Greener (Cynthia) of Memphis, TN; one sister, Kathy Brown (Steve) of Eaton, CO; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Yeager of Madison, MS, Olivia Delgado, Camilla Delgado, and Bryce Cox of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers are Luis Delgado, Jeff Cox, Paul Brown, Alex Brown, John Reece, and Charles Moore.
